Crime spree suspect arrested in Werribee South

A man accused of a crime spree across Bacchus Marsh and western Victoria, has been charged by police.

The 27-year-old Bowenvale man was arrested at a home in Werribee South on Thursday July 6.

The police air-wing had followed the man to the address after detecting a stolen vehicle being driven between Geelong and Werribee.

The stolen Nissan Navarro was recovered by police, while three other stolen vehicles and two stolen box trailers were later found during a search of a home in Tarneit.

The man was charged with 25 offences, including aggravated burglary, burglaries, theft of motor vehicles, theft and conduct endangering persons.

Police believe the alleged crimes occurred over the past three weeks in locations including Bacchus Marsh Werribee, Geelong and Ballarat.

The man has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing in the Geelong Magistrates Court on August 7.
