Police are hoping dashcam footage or CCTV cameras can help with their investigation into the death of a Sydenham woman earlier this month.
Vicki Ramadan, 77, was found dead in her Sydenham home on April 6. Police believe she had not been seen since some time in March.
Homicide Detective Inspector Andrew Stamper urged anyone with information to come forward.
“There’s still a lot of unanswered questions,” Detective Inspector Stamper said. “It was a brutal attack. There’s no other way to put it. A vulnerable, 77-year-old woman living by herself. It really was a horrific attack.
“What we are also interested in, is if anyone can provide details of any suspicious activity in and or around Vicki’s Marlborough Way home.”
Police reiterated Ms Ramadan was often seen walking near her home and was known to use public transport, in particular buses and taxis. It was also not uncommon for her to frequent the Watergardens shopping centre and it is believed she was well known by local traders.
Police are also investigating if her house was broken into or if she let someone she knew into her home.
Detective Inspector Stamper said though Ms Ramadan was distant from her family, they were “very co-operative” with the investigation. “Obviously, they’re devastated and want some answers,” he said.
