A serious collision on the Western Freeway has created lane closures between the M80 Ring Road and Robinsons Road.
The incident has not caused closure on inbound roads, but the thoroughfare remains heavily congested around the site of the incident.
VicRoads is suggesting motorists avoid the closure by using Ballarat Road through to Deer Park or Fitzgerald Road to the south.
