Melton mums Rachel Coulton and Marian Youssef were both rapt with the gifts they received this Christmas.

Both women gave birth at Bacchus Marsh hospital on December 25.

Mrs Coulton and husband Jayden, of Melton, welcomed their second child, Indi Adalyn. Indi is a younger sister for Jack, aged three.

“It was a bit of a shock because she came two weeks early,” Mrs Coulton said.

“We didn’t know what we were having; we left it as a surprise, and when they said it was a girl, I cried. So did my husband.

“The hospital staff were amazing. They put a Christmas tree in the room for me, and even got my son a little gift because he was there on Christmas Day.

“They made it really special for me and my family. I can’t thank them enough.”

Ms Youssef and her husband, Ebraam Ghobros, of Caroline Springs, named their son Chris to celebrate the day he was born. They have one daughter, Celiena, who is seven years old.

“He is the best Christmas gift we’ve received,” Ms Youssef said. “I feel like I ruined Christmas for all the midwives, but they were helpful and made me feel good.”
