Christ Church launches first Christmas fair

Melton’s Anglican Church is opening its doors to the community this Christmas as it celebrates its inaugural Christmas Fair on Saturday 6 December.

The fair is set to feature a fan favourite sausage sizzle, homemade jams, Christmas presents, Devonshire tea, and a variety of kids’ games for the whole family to enjoy.

This year’s event marks the first for the church as well as newly appointed vicar of Christ Church Melton Reverend Ian Hennerby, who said he’s more than excited to welcome Melton’s local community to the church for a day of festive celebrations.

“We are looking forward to our first ever Christmas fair,” Rev Hennerby said.

“Madam mayor, Car Lara Carli will be in attendance alongside the Melton Singers, and Melton Anglican Crochet Knitting Group have been working hard to create some wonderful Christmas gifts for all to buy.”

Attendees can also look forward to a performance by Melton’s Community Choir at 11am, bringing festive music and extra Christmas cheer to the day.

All funds raised will go straight back into the community through Christ of Church Melton’s Community outreach.

“This fair is so important because it enables the community to enjoy the spirit of Christmas,” Rev Hennerby said.

Christ Church of Melton’s Christmas fair kicks off at 10am on Saturday 6 December at Christ Church Melton, 2-4 Unitt St, Melton.

It’s a free event and all are welcome to attend.
