The Ethiopian Orthodox Community celebrated a colourful St Michael’s Day at Raven Hall on Saturday, November 23.
Celebrated annually, the celebration recognised the strength and unity of our diverse communities, and furthering the collaboration between community leaders and local representatives.
Ravenhall St Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Church administrator Melake Tsehai Aba Gebre-selassie welcomed the community to the celebration, including Hawke MP Sam Rae, Fraser MP Daniel Mulino, and local Indian Community representative Professor and Reverend Robert Gribben.
“I believe that as we celebrate his feast today, Archangel St Michael is celebrating among us, standing with us, as he has done for countless generations,” Mr Gebre-selassie said.
“We are especially grateful today to have with us such esteemed guests from all walks of life.”
“Your presence here is a testament to the ongoing partnership and support between our churches and the broader community. We are deeply appreciative of your dedication to our church and to all faith communities.”
