A car has been wedged between two trucks west of Melbourne, sparking long delays for commuters this morning.
Paramedics were called to Robinsons Road, at the intersection of Calarco Drive in Truganina about 6.30am.
A man in his 40s suffered head and leg injuries in the crash. He has been taken to The Alfred hospital in a serious but stable condition.
A woman also sustained leg injuries. She was also taken to The Alfred in a serious but stable condition.
Robinsons Road was closed southbound next to the Deer Park bypass. The right lane was also closed northbound.
The road reopened about 9am, police said. A VicRoads spokeswoman said at 10am traffic was flowing and the delays had eased.
