Buskers converge on Melton

Buskers have converged on Melton’s town centre for a free music and entertainment festival.

Melton council’s Live @ the Horse series has been running for the past three weeks and wraps up this Saturday (November 18) with buskers performing for crowds at the Melton amphitheatre.

Games and activities will also be set up, while a Rotary Club barbecue will keep hunger at bay.

Melton mayor Bob Turner said the Live @ the Horse series would showcase the
city’s versatile community infrastructure.

“This will encourage local musicians and entertainers to make the most of the space in future,” Cr Turner said.

“If residents find themselves with a free afternoon, they should take advantage of this exciting event, and perhaps even stop off for a spot of lunch at a nearby eatery, or pop in to the local shops.”

Performances start from 10-11.30am on Saturday.
