Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a body was discovered in Mt Cottrell on Thursday afternoon.
The body was located on the bank of a creek near Dukelows Road, by members of the community who were walking in the area, shortly before 3pm.
Further forensic examination today has determined that the man whose body was located in Mt Cottrell yesterday afternoon is of Asian descent.
A post mortem was conducted overnight however the identity of the man remains unknown.
It is believed the man may have been aged in his 20s.
Detectives are treating the death as suspicious.
