A man is in a serious condition after a police pursuit in Melton South ended in him crashing into a tree.
Police attempted to intercept a black BMW when it failed to stop for police about 11.45am on Monday morning.
Victoria Police Leading Senior Constable Adam West said officers activated their sirens and lights and started pursuing the car before it crashed into a tree on Exford Road.
The male driver is expected to be airlifted to a hospital in Melbourne.
