All children are welcome to check out what’s happening throughout Melton for Children’s Week.
The week celebrates the talents, skills, achievements and rights of young people and highlights the importance of educational services.
Children’s Week, which runs between October 21 and 29, includes a host of free events for families.
Melton council will have two free family fun days – one at Melton Community Hall on Tuesday, October 24 and another at the Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre on Thursday, October 26 from 10am-1pm. BYO picnic lunch.
Melton mayor Sophie Ramsey encouraged children and their families to come along and join in the fun.
“There will be lots of free, fun activities including arts and crafts, an animal petting farm, music, roving performers, and a jumping castle,” Cr Ramsey said.
Free child restraint fittings and anti-theft number plate screw fittings are being offered at both events.
