Eight of Kororoit Creek Primary School’s newest pupils were twice as excited as their peers about starting school.
Four sets of twins experienced their first day together at the Burnside Heights school last week.
Principal Blayne Wallis said it was a first for the school to have so many sets of multiples in one year.
“We usually have at least one or two sets of twins, but this year we have four and that will be a first for us,” Ms Wallis said.
“It’s very exciting that we have plenty of preps … we have eight classes and in total 187 preps that will be starting school with us this year.”
Ms Wallis said that the prep influx indicated the growth of Burnside Heights.
“We have a lot of parents that want to enrol their kids in our school because we have a wonderful staff of teachers and very supportive school community,” she said.
“That’s why I think that people are knocking at our door to send their children here.
“Our short-term goal is to make sure that the kids are happy and building strong relationships with their teachers and their peers, all while learning.”
