The bad habits of Moorabool motorists have been scrutinised by police as part of Operation SPOTTER in Bacchus Marsh.

A focus of the operation was to identify those who failed to obey road rules, especially in lower speed areas such as Main Street, Bacchus Marsh.

As a result, 15 penalty notices were issued to drivers for road related offences, including exceeding the speed limit, using a mobile phone while driving, failing to wear a seatbelt, and failing to give way at pedestrian crossings.

Police also arrested a 42-year-old female from Melton after she was allegedly found in possession of a drug of dependence.

She will appear before the Bacchus Marsh Magistrates Court at a later date.

Operation SPOTTER will be conducted in Bacchus Marsh sporadically over the coming months.
