A new digital art exhibition has opened in Caroline Springs that features a multi-sensory, augmented reality experience.

Dis-Repair is a collection of works by upcoming Melbourne artist Annie Murray, designed to challenge perspectives on life and take the viewer on a journey through dystopian worlds.

The animated exhibition features ten large digital artworks that make up an immersive experience, incorporating augmented reality technology.

Viewers can download a free phone app and use their advice to experience an augmented reality version of each piece.

The exhibition also features an original music score by Paul Fletcher and narration from actor Tom Richards.

City of Melton mayor Cr Goran Kesic said he hoped the exhibition would provide great insight, ignite curiosity and spark the imagination.

“We are very excited to see this exhibition here in our city, created by an extremely talented artist, and hope to create conversations around hope and reconnection in the face of adversity,” Mayor Kesic said.

“We invite locals and visitors to come along to the exhibition and be captivated by the experience, uncovering the meanings behind each piece within the collection.”

Dis-Repair will run until July 28 at the CS Gallery in Caroline Springs.
