Art students from Catholic Regional College Melton put their best on show last week during their annual exhibition.
About 200 students in years seven to 10 took part in the exhibition, with a variety of styles, mediums and works on show for parents and friends to enjoy.
Art teacher Meryem McLeod said the event was a great celebration of the students’ hard work over the year.
“It was a really positive event, and a great turnout as well,” Ms McLeod said.
“The students were proud as punch, and as a teacher I was so proud of all my students and the work they’ve put in over the year.
“It was great to see them shine, and the parents and staff really admired the variety of works on show.”
Several teachers from nearby primary schools also came along to admire the works of some of their former pupils.
“A lot of students had started at nearby catholic primary schools and moved on to CRC, so we had some teachers come along to admire their former students’ works,” Ms McLeod said.
“[It’s] good to keep that connection going.”
