A new interactive art installation has arrived at Lake Caroline for Melton residents to explore.

Titled ‘The Stories That Connect Us’, the project was led by multidisciplinary artist Luciano and created by students from Creekside College in Caroline Springs.

The project, which was run by Melton council, is a series of interactive artwork from the students, who under the guidance of Luciano, interpreted local stories that make Caroline Springs “a special place”.

Melton mayor Goran Kesic said it was a fun and new art experience for the City of Melton.

“This is a unique art experience that we’re excited to share with our community,” Cr Kesic said.

The artwork the children created can be viewed around the lake and comes to life through augmented reality videos on viewer’s smartphones.

Viewers will need to download the Eyejack app and follow the instructions around the lake for the full virtual experience.

“The students have created beautiful interpretations of life in Caroline Springs and it’s great to be able to view them both in print and digitally.

“I’d encourage everyone to take the opportunity to enjoy this installation as you walk around Lake Caroline.”
