Freddie Borg was a man who loved cars, bikes and a cold beverage.

His sons, Troy Borg and Chris Buckley-Foster, will host the sixth Freddie Borg memorial run at Bacchus Marsh this Sunday in honour of the mechanic who died of cancer in 2012.

“He was pretty well known in the Harley and trucking scene here in Bacchus Marsh,” Troy said. “It was what he loved and so we bring everyone together each year to share stories and have a laugh while raising money for pancreatic cancer research.”

Last year’s event raised $3000 for the cause.

The event starts at Flanagans Border Inn on Main Street at 10am.

Riders can give a gold coin donation and all proceeds will go to the Pancare Foundation.
