There’s been an incident on Western Freeway at Ravenhall this morning.
Ambulance Victoria was called to a reported traffic incident in Ravenhall just before 8:30am.
A man with upper body injuries has been taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
The Department of Transport said the city bound right lane is closed near Robinsons road.
Traffic is queued back into Caroline Springs with about three kilometres of traffic banked up.
The department’s advice is to stick to Ballarat Road and go through Caroline Springs instead which will take drivers back to the ring road.
