A second house fire breaks out in Melton West

At about 11am this morning, Triple-0 responders received multiple calls with reports of a house fire in Melton West.

Emergency services arrived on at the address on Haybale Place to find a single storey residence fully engulfed in fire.

Thirty firefighters attended the incident and conducted an internal search while also fighting the fire.

No occupants were found inside the home and the fire was deemed under control at about 12:30pm.

The cause of the fire was deemed as accidental.

The incident is the second house fire in Melton West this week, as a property on Balmoral Place caught fire yesterday.
