Kryal Castle played host to the Victorian Medieval Festival over the first weekend of December.

The sunny weather beamed down on glinting knights, cavalry riders, crafters, wizards, jesters and traders.

Within the castle walls guests were treated to jousting shows, sword battles, plays, and falconry, while the medieval village offered market stalls, trebuchet and interactive activities like archery, axe throwing and potion-making.

As the new year approaches, the weekend offered guests a truly unique opportunity to step back in time.
