Male sex offender on the loose across Melton

Police are on the hunt for a man who exposed himself to four children and a woman at Melton earlier this month.

On January 20, about 2.45pm, the man rode a bike near the creek on Rosina Drive, Melton, near Barries Road, where he waved and smiled at four children playing near the creek.

The male then pulled his pants down and exposed himself to the children, three girls and a boy aged between eight and nine. He then pulled his pants up and started to verbally abuse the children.

The children started to run toward Rosina Drive and the man followed them on the bike.

Police said the man did not attempt to grab any of the children and rode off once they made it back to a residence.

At about 3pm the same day, police believe the same man followed a woman walking along High Street, Melton.

The woman saw the man sitting on his bike at Glen Road where he again dropped his pants and exposed himself. He then engaged in lewd acts with himself.

He was last seen by the woman riding toward Woodgrove shopping centre.

The unknown male has been described as caucasian, aged between 16-20, with light brown hair and wearing grey or green pants, black shoes, cap, hooded jumper and a backpack.

His bike was described as having a black frame and red front forks.
