Guide Dogs Victoria held one of its regular sports camps in Myrniong last week – the first one to have a family focus.
The camp allowed children with vision impairment to come together and improve their orientation and mobility skills.
Mums, dads and siblings shared in activities including orienteering, blind soccer, a flying fox, raft building and rafting.
Children’s mobility services manager Laura Hunt said the camp had given families insights into their children’s vision-impairment difficulty and allowed them to befriend and learn from similar families.
But, above all, it was about having fun. For more information, visit www.guidedogsvictoria.com.au.
