Melton’s Harrison Motoring Group ‘gives’ back

Melton’s Harrison Motoring Group is driving a new community support initiative.

Not-for-profit groups and individuals in need of monetary support are being invited to apply for a “community helper” sponsorship.

Each selected group or individual will then be designated a box for the month, to receive votes from customers voting for the group they would like to see sponsored.

Harrison community support program manager Joylene Richards said the business received “countless requests for donations” every year.

“This program enables us to share our support throughout our community – even with the small groups that go unnoticed or a community group trying to raise funds for an unforeseen event or misfortune,” she said.

Clients who buy a new car or have their car serviced with Harrison Motoring Group receive tokens to use as votes for one of the groups. At the end of each month, the tokens are counted and a sponsorship of $300 is given to the group with the most tokens; $200 is given to the runner-up and $100 is given to the third group.

“Every bit helps. We give a couple of hundred here and a couple of hundred there, and it all makes a big difference,”
Ms Richards said.

Ms Richards said director Nick Harrison saw the program as the perfect way to give back to the community and spread sponsorships to as many groups as possible.

For more details, or to apply for a sponsorship, email communitysupport@harrisonmotoringgroup.com.au or call Joylene Richards on 8746 0380.
