Careers forums offer hope to Melton jobseekers

More than 60 Melton jobseekers, including Aiden McAleer, turned up at a careers forum last Tuesday.

The forum, at the Melton Library and Learning Hub, featured key figures from Bunnings and Coles, including Coles regional human resources manager Natalie Carter, who offered tips and advice.

The forum was one of a series organised by Djerriwarrh Community and Education Services.

Aiden, 23, said his career as a plasterer was cut short by a back injury.

“It’s hard to find work so I hope this will be a good chance to make it happen.” A session featuring Woolworths representatives will be held at the library from 10am tomorrow.
