IN FOCUS: Al’s Deluxe Bakery a new rising star

Al, a chef for more than 11 years and the proud owner of Al’s Fish ‘n’ Chippery, has now opened Al’s Deluxe Bakery Café right next door. He and wife Belinda are getting mouths watering in Melton.

They believe it’s the best bakery café Melton will ever see.

“Al’s Fish ‘n’ Chippery has been operating for more than five years and we’re still pleasing locals,” Belinda says. “To quote the locals, we have ‘the best fish and chips in town’, and ‘traditional fish and chips on another level’.

“We offer fresh local gummy flake, the best burgers in town and souvlaki made with the tenderest lamb you will ever taste. We’ve made our name with amazing food and bright staff members who love what they do.

“And now, we introduce Melton to the one and only Al’s Deluxe Bakery Café. It’s not just your basic bakery café. Where in Melton can you get such extraordinary burgers, pizza, loaded fries, extravagant milkshakes and amazing donuts, as well as barista-made coffee to go with delicious desserts?

“Under the same roof, we also offer mouth-watering all-day breakfasts and make special-occasion cakes. You can throw a birthday party at the café, with a cake baked on the premises by our pastry chef. We have amazing designs to choose from – or design your own cake for that special someone.”

Al’s Deluxe Bakery Café is the kind of place to bring along family and friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner – or even a late dinner treat of dessert and milkshake. Al and Belinda want to give customers exactly what they want. They even have a delivery service.

Plans are in place to enhance an existing alfresco area, with more tables and chairs and a sheltered area with outdoor heating for the colder weather.

“Our two shops are our pride and joy,” says the busy duo. “We have built our successful fish and chips shop by not only serving the best quality and freshest seafood you can get, but also through our loyal customers who are also helping our bakery cafe become a huge success”.

To thank their loyal customers and welcome new customers, Belinda and Al are offering a 20 per cent discount off their bill at the bakery café – just mention this story.

Al’s Deluxe Bakery Cafe, 3 Exford Road, Melton South. Opens 6am-9pm Sunday-Thursday; 6am-late Friday; and 8am-late weekends. 8732 7546. Al’s Fish ‘n’ Chippery opens 11am-8.30pm Monday-Wednesday; 11am-9pm Friday-Saturday; and 11.30am-8.30pm Sunday. Inquiries: 9743 5758
