IN FOCUS: Digital ease pleases in taxing times

Tax Concepts is making it easier for people to access services with extended business hours and Skype or phone appointments now available.

As the busy tax time hits this year, Bakery Square is getting a makeover with pedestrian walkways, disability access to shops and more, and during these extensive works entry into Bakery Square can only be made via Palmerston street with parking reduced to half its capacity.

To minimise any inconvenience to their clients, Tax Concepts are offering their normal services via Skype and phone appointments. This is a great option for anyone who can’t get into the office or may experience issues due to reduced parking availability.

The tax specialists, located in Melton, understand how hard it can be for people to get their tax done, so are doing what they can to make it as easy as possible for clients to access their expert services.

Director Rob Maslak says that with paperwork easily submitted via email, the whole tax return can be completed without clients having to come into the Tax Concepts office.

“Skype is a great way to talk through any more complicated tax issues. It is just as good as face-to-face … you can complete your meeting with one of our four experienced accountants from your office at home, if you wish.

“As of July 1, we have extended our hours to 9am to 9pm, Monday to Friday, and also 9am to noon both Saturday and Sunday,” Rob says. “These additional hours are only available during the tax-time rush.

Known for its focus on salaried tax returns, small business tax and property portfolio-style wealth creation, Tax Concepts has an experienced team with significant expertise in property investment advisory.

“Our existing clients understand that we have a niche in that area,” Rob says. “They tend to use us at tax time and also to manage the tax implications and complications that can come with property investment.

“A lot of people just rush out and buy a second or third property without doing a lot of research first. Research is imperative.”

Tax Concepts, 34 Bakery Square, Melton. Opens 9am-9pm Monday-Friday, 9am-noon Saturday-Sunday. Inquiries: 9747 0255 or visit taxconcepts.com.au
