The spirit of learning will inspire Ballan residents as they take to the Moorabool ‘Literacy Trail’ on September 4.
The event, in it’s ninth year, unites the town’s community to focus on the importance of reading, writing and counting.
Children will meet storytellers and performers, stilt walkers and knife jugglers, dancing dogs and puppets.
“The children will also collect autographs from costumed book characters along the way and have their reading passports stamped,” said council chief executive Rob Croxford.
The trail will start at 10am in the rotunda on the main street in Ballan, Old Melbourne Road.
