Lovebirds Pam and Pieter Bink celebrate 60 years

Pam and Pieter Bink celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently.

Pam and Pieter Bink say they’ve never fought in their 60 years of marriage.

The secret? “Give your wife a cup of tea in bed each morning,” Mr Bink says.

The Bacchus Marsh lovebirds celebrated the milestone on Saturday, September 10, surrounded by friends and family at the Providence Village, where they live.

The couple and their three young children moved to Australia from Holland in 1960.

Mr Bink worked as a carpenter and Mrs Bink as a nurse.

They’re now enjoying retirement with their children, nine grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

“Talk to each other,” Mrs Bink says. “We’ve never had a fight; that’s really true. If there’s a problem talk about it. Don’t get angry, just talk about it.”

Mrs Bink says the couple have had a very good life together. “We do everything together and enjoy each other’s company.”
