Good things take time so preparation for the next Ballan vintage rally has already begun.

Collectors are gearing up early for next February’s Ballan District Vintage Machinery and Vehicle Club rally, which has been running for 15 years.

Organisers are calling for exhibitors to register for the 2017 event. Club treasurer Ray Meadows says the rally is expected to attract up to 2000 visitors from around the region.

“It’s a great day for collectors and vintage club members to come together and see what’s out there,” he says. “I grew up on the farm and I’ve loved tractors and machinery since I was young. I started collecting from there and have 12 tractors now.”

Mr Meadows says vintage car clubs from around Victoria are expected at the event, which will also feature sheep shearing, stationary engine exhibits, model aeroplane shows and other entertainment.
