Drama classes

Children’s drama classes at Melton community hall encourage creativity from an early age. They’re on every Thursday until September 17; five to seven-year-olds from 3.30-4.30pm, and eight to 11-year-olds from 5-6pm.

Hard run to the top

Runners will negotiate the tricky Blackwood terrain for up to 12 hours on August 15 in a bid to raise awareness and money for the Berry Street charity’s foster care camps – an initiative that lets foster kids bond with new families. The 70-kilometre run through the Lerderderg State Park includes steep hills, with a 2000-metre vertical gain.
