Maddingley Park will be going pink in honour of women who have been diagnosed with, or lost their lives to, breast cancer.
As part of the McGrath Foundation’s Pink Stumps Day, Bacchus Marsh Cricket Club will be adding splashes of pink to its grounds and uniforms on Saturday, February 18.
Event organiser Trish O’Loughlin said the club had been involved with the Pink Stumps Day for five years, raising more than $20,000 for breast cancer support programs and research.
“Everyone’s so passionate about this cause,” Ms O’Loughlin said. “All of these boys have a mum, grandma, sister or someone in their family network who’s been touched by breast cancer.”
McGrath Foundation director Tracy Bevan has encouraged everyone to take part in the program and paint their town pink.
She said the Pink Stumps Day was vital to raising funds for the foundation. For more information, visit pinkstumpsday.com.au
