For five decades, Balliang woman Barbara Press has found solace and comfort in painting.
From oil to water painting, she loves it all.
She says a mixed-medium flower painting that she finished recently is probably up there in terms of her favourites.
Press will be the artist-in-residence at the 46th Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show, talking about her paintings and offering tips.
“It’s a really great art show and the standard is very high,” she says.
The show’s opening is on Friday, June 10, from 7pm at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall.
It will run 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, and 10am-4pm on Monday, June 13.
