Subcontinental cooking

Adult learners week

Melton South Community Centre will offer activities throughout Adult Learners Week, including yoga on Wednesday, September 7, 10.30-11.30am; a Senior Rights Victoria presentation on protecting your rights as you age on Wednesday, September 7, 1.30-2.30pm; or Melton South Community Singers on Thursday, September 8, 10am-11.30am. CARE Melton expo

More than 50 exhibitors from agencies delivering support, services or resources to carers, people with a disability or older people will be at the CARE Melton Expo, 10am-2pm, Thursday, October 13, at the Melton community hall, 232 High Street.

Free first-aid training

Ballan District Health and Care and the Rotary Club of Ballan have teamed up to offer free mental health first-aid training on September 8 and 9. There are 12 free places available in the 9am-5pm, two-day course at 33 Cowie Street, Ballan.

Sleep-in a great cause

Snuggle up in pyjamas and join a mass sleep-in on Sunday, September 25, to raise money for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
