Artists light the way

Five contemporary Australian artists, who work with light in differing ways, will display their projects at the Caroline Springs gallery, 190 Caroline Springs Boulevard, until October 7.

 

Dig in for the gardens

Join the Friends of the Melton Botanic Garden at 21 William Street, Melton, to plant some trees on Sunday, September 25, 10am-noon. Tools and morning tea will be provided.

Powers of attorney explained

A Seniors Rights Victoria representative will deliver information about powers of attorney, on Friday, October 7, 10.30-11.30am, at the Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House, 121 Calder Park Drive.

‘Renewables’ at the grassroots

Energy experts Positive Charge will give independent advice and support to residents about renewable energy, including solar panels.

The Melton council-supported information session will run from 10.30am on Saturday, October 8, at the Balam Balam room in Melton library, 31 McKenzie Street. Bookings are essential.

Help for the carers

More than 50 displays from people who deliver support, services or resources to carers, people with a disability or seniors will be at the CARE Melton Expo at Melton community hall, 232 High Street, 10am-2pm on Thursday, October 13.

The Sunrise Carers Group, a social support network for women aged 18-65 who care for someone with a disability, meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 10am-1.30pm at the Melton library, 31 McKenzie Street.

Melton Garden Club meets 7.30pm on the fourth Wednesday of each month at Arnolds Creek Community Centre, 19 Claret Ash Boulevard, Melton West.

A women’s support group meets Mondays from 1pm at the Melton South Community Centre, 41 Exford Road.
