A passion for potions

Learn the art of potion making, how to conjure up slime, magically inflate a balloon and create dragon’s milk at Caroline Springs library’s Harry Potter potions class on Monday, September 19, from 2-3pm. The event is open to children aged 10-14. Bookings essential.

Let’s go fishing

Fishcare Victoria teaches children aged five to 15 about fishing safety, knot-tying, casting, baiting and rules and regulations. It will hold a session on September 20, 10am-1pm, at Navan Park Lake, corner of Coburns Road and Centenary Avenue. Free barbecue. Registrations essential.

CARE Melton expo

More than 50 exhibitors from agencies delivering support, services or resources to carers, people with disabilities or older people will be at the CARE Melton Expo, 10am-2pm, on Thursday, October 13, at Melton community hall, 232 High Street.

Sleep-in for a great cause

Snuggle up in pyjamas and join a mass sleep-in on Sunday, September 25, to raise money for the Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
