Truffle trekking

An Oakhill truffle hunt and lunch will tickle the fancies of all truffle lovers. Morning tea and a truffle tasting have been scheduled in Gordon before the hunt for truffles starts, and that will be followed by a truffle-inspired lunch at the The Plough, Myrniong. Meet 10.30am on Saturday, July 18, at the Oakhill, Corbettes Road, Gordon.

Mortgage wellbeing

A ‘mortgage wellbeing’ information session will be held from 7-8pm on Wednesday, July 29, at Caroline Springs library, 193 Caroline Springs Boulevard. Book appointments with a lawyer, financial counsellor or social worker afterwards.

Free meditation classes are held at the Hillside Community Centre, Royal Crescent, Hillside, from 2-3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 

Scholastic books

Diggers Rest Primary School will host a Scholastic Book Fair on July 23 and 24. The fair is open from 8.45am until 3.30pm, with plenty of new titles and specials on sale to help the school. Payments by cash, cheques or credit cards.

 

Behind the mask-making

Create beautiful, wearable masks and headwear designs with artist Kris Tetis at mask-making and headwear workshops at Raglan Cottage, 237 High Street, Melton, this month. There will be two sessions for adults and a school holiday program for 12 to 17-year-olds until July 18.

Come to this personal development workshop and learn to take the first steps towards living a healthier life. The seminar offers strategies to help people lose weight, quit smoking and feel better in many areas of their lives.
