Kurunjang Secondary College turns 30

Change has been more than just a revolution from blackboard to computer screen since Kurunjang Secondary College opened 30 years ago.

From design of the school uniform to the number of students, change has been a constant. But one thing that’s never changed, according to principal Sandra Eglezos, is the school’s connection to the community.

“We’re still a very inclusive school that focuses on quality for students – that’s a really strong thing,” Ms Eglezos said.

“And what’s also been a real focus is the continual development of teachers and leadership practice to help students and prepare them for the 21st century.”

Ms Eglezos said everyone was excited about the school’s 30th birthday and gearing up for a number of celebrations throughout the year.

And community members are being called on to take part. To get involved with the celebrations, call the school on 9743 9211.
