On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, Australia joins the rest of the world remembering the sacrifices made for the peace we have now.

This year, Returned Services League (RSL) members across Victoria have committed to selling more than half a million poppies to raise money for present and former service men and women.

Melton RSL president Ian Lawrey says the 500,000 target is a “phenomenal” commitment by members. “Year in, year out, our communities rally together to support the poppy appeal in the lead-up to Remembrance Day.”

Poppies are available to purchase at Woolworths, Officeworks, RSL sub-branches or from volunteer collectors.
