A Bacchus Marsh couple will turn their love of entertaining into a new career, opening up a Mexican restaurant in Bridge Road, Richmond, in the new year.
Kylie and Scott Benson (pictured with Ella, 7, Jack, 13, Braith, 6, and Brooklyn, 2) won the Salsas restaurant in a radio competition.
Ms Benson says their five children are “just as chuffed as we are”.
Mr Benson, a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer, will dedicate his days to running the restaurant and cooking, while Ms Benson plans on taking a step back from the family’s photobooth hire company.
“Beyond our children, this is the biggest life change we’ve had,” she says. “We can’t wait to add our personality to the place and take this opportunity to entertain on a larger scale.’
