Having a ball for International Day of People with Disability

People of all abilities have walked, wheeled or pushed their way around Bacchus Marsh’s Maddingley Park in a show of resilience and understanding.

The International Day of People with Disability event on November 30 brought together Moorabool residents to raise awareness of the many contributions people with a disability make in the community.

Children including Sia and Aika (pictured) enjoyed games, while indie rock act Rudely Interrupted kept the crowd entertained.

The band knows a thing or two about disabilities, with five of its six members having poor vision, hearing problems, Asperger’s, autism or Down syndrome.
