Karl Sass recalls Melton’s streets sparkling with Christmas lights when he was young.
“I have good memories of Melton lighting up, but fewer people are doing it now,” he said. Last year he decided to stir up some Christmas spirit.
“I thought about launching a campaign to get people involved. The Melton Residents Association got behind the idea and I’ve been working on it all through the year.’’
A Facebook page has been set up to let residents know where lights are located.
“This is not about the best house in the street; it’s about everyone putting in some effort and getting each house involved.’’
