SHORT STORY COMPETITION

Entries for this year’s Melton Short Story Competition close at 5.30pm on Friday, October 18. Work can be in print, by illustration, video, verse, voice, or combinations of these mediums. Entries should be less than 1500 words or five minutes. Entry forms are available at Melton Civic Centre.

NITRO THUNDER

Championship drag racing returns to Calder Park on Saturday, October 19, with the venue hosting a round of the national racing series for the first time since 2001. Top-fuel dragsters, top bikes and pro-stock motorcycles will compete for championship points. Tickets available at the gate. General admission $35, concession $20, children 12 and under free.
