Melton is the FFV state league 5 champion after a 2-1 win against St Kilda on Saturday.
The battle of west and south division winners went Melton’s way at Gardiners Creek Reserve in Burwood.
It means Melton is the inaugural victor in the newly formatted state championship system.
Melton will play Bell Park, Geelong Rangers and Surf Coast in state league 4 west next season.
