MELTON’S middle order overcame a shaky start to post 193 for Broadmeadows to chase on Sunday in the north west first XI quarter final.
Anthony Gale (63) held the innings together after the Lions lost 2-20 early.
Shane Harwood made 38 and was last man out as Melton made it to the penultimate over of the day.
