SUNBURY’S bats plundered runs and left Bacchus Marsh behind in the B grade final as the Bulls fell 166 runs short at Clarke Oval.
Sunbury made it to the 96th over, batting first as it posted 253 before rolling Bacchus Marsh for just 87 in reply.
Heath Boffey (63) led the scoring for Sunbury on an even scorecard as Paul Webber (41), Patrick Tyler (33) and Travis Botten (31) all contributed.
Bailey was best of the Bacchus Marsh bowlers with 4-29 off 25 overs, while Tom Cotton claimed 2-34 as the only other multiple wicket-taker.
Bacchus Marsh struggled in the chase and lost wickets on a regular basis.
Jason Elliott bowled for most of the innings at one end to claim six wickets.
Sunbury earns promotion to McIntyre Cup with its B grade win and will replace Macedon in the top grade next season.
