CROWDS flanked Bacchus Marsh’s Main Street on Sunday as the town paid tribute to its Diggers during the annual Anzac parade.
Bacchus Marsh RSL president Hilmar ‘Irish’ Kummerlowe said more than 1500 people turned out.
“We had a great crowd, well past our expectations. None of the senior personnel have seen crowds like that before,” he said.
The Anzac Day dawn service will be held at the cenotaph from 5.45 am.
