Melton Catholic Regional College student Blake Allison has been playing basketball since he was five, but the game continues to provide him with plenty of fresh challenges.
Next up for the talented athlete is a spot in the state basketball squad, which plays at the Australian under-16 championships in Tamworth on July 6.
Blake, 15, trains with the state team in Donvale twice a week, in addition to playing for his Melton team the Knights.
“It’s been more of a challenge, but it’s been heaps of fun,” he says.
