Alice didn’t fall down any rabbit holes last Thursday, but she did enjoy a fine Mad Hatter’s tea party at St Brigid’s Primary School in Ballan.
Students Cate Lidgett (pictured centre), Jonathan Debono, Matthew Layton, Alex Miller, Owen Robertson, Ashlynne Power and Sara Layton dressed as their favourite characters from Lewis Carroll’s fantastic fairytale Alice in Wonderland to support the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Funds raised went to the Cancer Council’s research, prevention programs and support services. It’s one of Moorabool’s favourite fund-raising events. Last year 19 local hosts and their friends contributed to the $2.4million raised across Victoria.
