An information session for potential council election candidates will be held at the council chambers in Ballan on July 10.
Interested people can hear from representatives of the Municipal Association of Victoria, electoral commission, councillors and chief executives about the responsibilities and rewards of representing people at local government level.
Candidates must be over 18 and on the electoral roll for the council area.
