MELTON’S women’s hockey side was on the end of a thrashing in State League3.
Facing the top side, Melton was never in the contest as Mornington ran away to an easy 8-0 win.
The men’s State League 4 side had a much closer match, going down to PEGS 3-2.
In the Men’s Metro west 4, the result came down to a penalty shootout.
Disappointingly for the men, they went down 1-0 in the shootout to Essendon.
Melton’s Men’s Metro west 3 and Women’s metro north-west 4 sides also lost.
This week, the Women’s State League 3 side travels to Berwick to take on Casey. The Men’s State League 4 team has a bye.
